Import and Export Operations Manager Responsible for overseeing Agents and managing processes that support the customer's Import/ Export needs. Ensuring cost effective operations, timely service by applying knowledge of laws, regulations, governing agencies, procedures, audits, programs, and practices. Qualifications · High School Diploma or GED. · Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of Import/ Export Air/Ocean in a freight forwarder, NVOCC, or Customs Brokerage environment. · Must possess excellent data entry skills and customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people. · Understand the processes and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order placement to delivery of cargo at ultimate destination. · Must have strong organizational and time management skills. · Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities under time deadlines. · Ability to work independently in a professional manner to meet internal and external customer's requests. · Possess the ability to communicate professionally verbally and in written format. · Possess the ability to utilize Microsoft Office and other programs to produce status report and other documents. · Responsible for meeting key performance indicators for operations. · Support other duties and projects as needed. · Must work with utmost honesty and integrity. · Cargowise experience a plus.
