Posting Description: Our West Region Sales Center has an excellent opportunity available for a Sales and Marketing Assistant. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic team player who can also work independently in our fast-paced work environment. Job requires the ability to multi-task and the capability to handle changing priorities under tight deadlines. The position will report to the Senior Sales Manager of the West Region Sales Center. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Job Description:  Emailing overseas offices, subcontractors, internal offices/branches to obtain pricing.  Preparing cost sheet, and then make quotations for Air, Ocean, and Truck.  Submitting quotation to customers.  Setup shipment by Air, Ocean or truck. *for truck shipments, prepare quotes into WEB-DTS, or email with subcontractors, submit to customer, obtain pickup schedule and warehouse hours with shipper, issue instructions to trucking company, make appt. with trucker and shipper, prepare Truck B/L and issue to shipper, confirm pickup is done.  Communication with customers for shipping schedules, obtaining shipping instructions, sending customer status reports, etc  Internal communication with dept. staff to handle the shipping operation.  Ensure customer is updated of their shipment in timely manner.  Review billing instructions with dept. staff.  Sales reports: Quote log sheet, Weekly Revenue report, Monthly Revenue report. Yearly Rev. Report.  Other internal administrative requests. i.e. collecting money from customer for A/R issue.  Other assignments given by Supervisor or Manager depending on the needs of the department.
