POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible to maintain the highest level of customer and supplier satisfaction and required level of profitability for existing businesses and seeks to develop new business opportunities and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Include but are not limited to the following):

• Responsible to maintain sound business relations with customers and suppliers while pursing for TAI’s optimized profitability or process flow which will positively impact on Income statement and Balance sheet.

• Generates price quotes or terms and conditions, negotiates pricing with customers and suppliers, resolves issues relating to pricings, and ensures pricing is properly set up in the system. Likewise, maintain agreed price change rules along with chemical index or exchange rate to be applied to customer price accurately and timely manner. At the same time, report internal related staff to update any change on pricing both for selling and buying so changes are applied to TAI accounting system.

• Capture sales forecast or technology or design trends via customers and suppliers , identify expanding or new opportunities, improvements and challenges not only for TAI benefits but also for customers/ suppliers benefits.

• Provides sales analysis and profitability forecasts. Develops unit budget, monitors and analyzes reason for variances and plan necessary improvement actions and achieve them.

• Address any technical or quality problems occurred at customers with supplier for resolutions.

• Monitor customer payment practices for changes and compliance with available credit.

• In conjunction with the Accounting Department, is responsible to successfully manage all account receivables functions for service/goods provided to the customer in a timely manner. Works with the customer to resolve and eliminate accounts receivable issues.

• Ensures that unit business practices and requirements meet all Federal regulations or guidelines.
Also, work with related parties necessary approval and registration process such as Chemical Registration or Supplier agreement etc..

• Identifies improvement opportunities (Kaizen), develops and implements within job scope. Includes recommendations and/or development of standardized work instruction for current or new business and assisting with review of internal controls.

• Work unit staffs, keeps them informed as required, ensures they are provided with appropriate training and follow all required standard operating procedures (SOP).

• Provides assistance when necessary to other staff members, responds to requests by management when and as required.

• Performs all other duties as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in related discipline and three years related experience.

SKILLS

• Ability to persuasively mitigate and/or resolve customer conflicts and problem resolutions.

• Well developed written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively convey information, instruction, ideas and/or recommendations.

• Significant understanding of International Commerce Terms (INCO terms) along with demonstrated experience of same. Have a general understanding of import/export requirements.

• Ability to develop and implement effective customer/supplier negotiating strategies, skills and tactics that further the position of the company’s business growth and profitability.

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of customer/supplier contract terms and conditions along with a general understanding of all legal requirements. Possess the ability to apply this language into the structuring of either two-party or multi-party agreements.

• Have a strong grasp of basic accounting principles and their application to every day business requirements and analysis. Knowledgeable in annual budgeting processes and systems.

• Ability to conduct and complete sophisticated financial risk-analysis models coupled with the skills necessary to undertake due diligence assessments and identification for determination of the best solution.

• Skilled in the understanding of customer pricing strategies and market growth strategies for both existing markets and new market growth.


• Skilled in the use of formal problem solving process coupled with a background of leadership facilitating team-oriented problem solving.
• Skilled the use of continuous improvement tools coupled with the leadership to both lead and/or facilitate improvement activities as either a manager or a team leader.

• Possess a strong understanding of the products and market place dynamics in which he/she operates and manages.

• Proficient level of understanding and use of business software required in the performance of position responsibilities to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and/or the ability to use this understanding to master specific software with training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position involves moderate physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking and hands to finger movements. Minimal requirements of bending, reaching, grasping and lifting. Visual and audio requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of the time involved in fulfilling the essential functions of this position will be in a typical office environment with little exposure to adverse conditions such as high noise levels, extreme heat/cold, exposure to heath/safety risk, etc. Outside travel and some time spent in an industrial setting will be required.

SUPERVISORY: Not directly but does have the responsibility to oversee the work of others.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to prepare and recommend unit budget, to oversee expenditures and ensure appropriate cost control.
