Bilingual J/E Licensing Specialist (71806-4)
Position Summary:
Licensing Specialist will be working closely with the company’s other teams such as Marketing, Production and Merchandising licensing teams. A candidate who has a passion for Japanese Anime, games and related culture along with experience in Licensing would be a great fit for this role.
Responsibilities:
• License the internet streaming, videogame, TV broadcasting as well as theatrical rights to the local licensees in the US, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Latin America.
• Create sales sheets of each IP/Content for solicitation to licensees.
• Pitch each IP/Content to licensees and negotiate deal terms and conditions.
• Finalize contracts with legal to close deals.
• Work with vendors and internal team to manage all delivery assets of materials, i.e. Master files, Press kits, and IPs/Contents Programming data
• Royalty Management
• Calculation of Royalties for each IP/Content for each licensee.
• Issue and settlement of invoice due to progress Royalty reports from each licensee.
• Support the calculation of royalties and payment confirmation process.
• Ensure receipt of payment with accounting team.
• Material delivery and schedule coordination for each licensing rights, localization company and each licensee.
• Monitor and keep track of each submission and approval progress of licensing deals from each licensee.
• Supervise the design, material usage, direction, restriction and concept of each IP/Content to each licensee.
• Plan and develop Licensing business strategies in the company.
• Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets for Licensing business in the company.
• Remain informed of relevant entertainment industry knowledge, trends and innovations.
• Special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensing (any industry).
• Able to track and research performance analytics and create reports.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong critical thinking and analytic skills as well as the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others.
• Knowledge, interest and passion in Anime, Manga and Entertainment highly preferred.
• JAPANESE ENGLISH Bilingual – must have professional level skills of reading, writing and communicating in Japanese for daily correspondence with licensors in Japan.
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
