EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

● Bilingual in Vietnamese
JOB SUMMARY
This person is responsible for processing payroll and benefits enrollment along with and not limited to described duties and responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Payroll administration (including data entry for new hires, terminations, and employee changes) through ezweb portal, and Paychex Stratus time.
● Input & process Semi-monthly payroll accurately & completely; including input weekly timecards
● Submit benefit deductions, garnishments, & check adjustments consistent with federal & state law.
● Processing termination checks, garnishments and LOAs
● Handling and responding to tax agency inquiries
● Coordinate various activities related to the processing of payroll including submitting hours for approval to HR Manager and PEO for processing.
● Submit changes for Employee’s W4, 1099, DE4, to PEO.
● Maintain Paid Time Off accrual data.
● Communicate with employees to resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately.
● Responsible for creating payroll journal entry Form to Accounting for reconciliations.
● Administers and manages benefits, communication, and enrollment.
● Coordinates insurance continuation options through COBRA.
● Assist with planning and performing year end payroll activities.
● Stays current on governmental regulations and takes proactive steps to ensure compliance on all matters affecting employee payroll processing and benefit programs.
● Ensures payroll files and records are maintained in accordance with State and Federal requirements and company policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.
Minor HR Assisting Duties:
● Print Evaluation date of employees for each month to remind HR, include Birthdays of employees for birthday celebrations.
● Register new timecard for HR to use.
● Help HR with yearly events such as picking up food or assisting with executing and planning.
● Assist HR with filing upon request.
● Assist HR with training activities.
● Assisting HR with any other tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Training and Experience
● College Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or proof of equivalent experience and knowledge.
● At least 2 years professional experience with processing payroll
● At least 1-year professional experience with Benefits Enrollment
● Working knowledge of Excel and use of Pivot tables is a plus
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills
● Knowledge of General California Labor laws
● Physical strength and agility sufficient to perform assigned tasks; must be able to lift and maneuver 25 lbs.
