DOT Compliance Coordinator  (71618-4)

• Undergraduate degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar DOT/Safety/Compliance role.
• Must have strong working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and other state regulatory requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and administration.
• Qualification in auditing techniques and investigative root-cause analysis, a plus
• Knowledge of IFTA licensing and reporting, a plus
• Knowledge of Electronic Logging Devices, a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, with a demonstrated ability to work efficiently with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in the handling of sensitive and confidential situations and information.
• Resourceful, good problem-solving skills and takes initiative to mitigate problems, resolve issues, and suggest improvements.

• Ensure all CDL Drivers are compliant and current with all necessary licenses, endorsements, medical certifications and Driver Qualification (DQ) files.
• Ensure that all regional offices conduct proper onboarding/recurring HOS, ELD and related safety training.
• Confirm fleet is compliant with all DOT regulations and any state regulatory requirements, including BIT for CA.
• Oversee CDL Drug & Alcohol program, schedule random drug and alcohol tests and coordinate with all regional offices to ensure compliance.
• Monitor fleet CSA score and propose safety measures to remain in compliance and conform to company standards. Work with Safety Supervisor and HR to investigate CSA violations; actively pursue methods to mitigate future violations. Dispute/DataQ when necessary.
• Conduct DOT Safety presentations to Senior Management and make proposals to improve compliance.
• Audit drivers HOS logs and verify driver compliance.
• Ensure that proper investigations on all commercial vehicle crashes are conducted:
• Ensure that the proper process for onboarding new drivers is followed and completed:
• Assist Safety Supervisor in coordinating with loss control consultants and third-party independent contractors to develop and implement compliance/safety training.
• Ensure that all regional offices conduct monthly and remedial driver safety training.
• Process FMCSA MCS-150 biennial updates and UCR Registration Renewals.
