IT Staff(Administrator)  (44081-5)

Position Description:
The IT Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the IT department. This person will focus on the administration of the network infrastructure to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications. The IT Administrator will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the systems operation and make recommendations for implementation.

Report to: IT Manager

Education, Experience, Requirements:
• Thorough understanding of architecture, configuration, optimization, user administration, and security procedures for NT Windows 2003 and Windows XP systems
• Familiarity with IIS, MS SQL, MS Exchange, Active Directory
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Familiarity with hardware configurations typical to area(s) of OS expertise
• Familiarity with network communication protocols
• Familiarity with SNMP configuration and operation
• Familiarity with networking hardware and design concepts
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose and correct complex operational issues using system logs and/or 3rd party utilities under tight deadlines with limited data and minimal on-site assistance
• Ability to comprehend functionality and operation of new versions or products within a limited timeframe
• Ability to recognize related issues and cause/effect issue relationships and prioritize corrective actions accordingly
• Must have good verbal and written skills to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel
• Ability to create or modify technical issue corrective action documentation
• Ability to create problem reports for presentation to internal and external audiences with varying levels of technical experience

• Development of the IT department.
• Development of departmental issues to resolution
• Personal ongoing development.

Applications Support
• Support of Soffront application. Customize application and coordinate support with the vendor
• Application support for call reporting application (CRD)
Phone System Support
• Setup, implementation and modification to the phone system
• Maintain all reporting for the call reporting application
Server Support
• System Administration of all the Active Directory objects and Units
Security Support
• Maintain Security policies and procedures
• Maintain all Security documentation
User Workstation Support
• Maintain all user workstation issues
• Install, upgrade and decommission all User workstations
Printer Support
• Maintain all Printer (replace, supply and repair)
User Relations
• Ability to interact with users on a daily basis as a single point of contact regarding technical issues, problem resolution and service expectations
• Ability to investigate and determine root causes of problem issues and deliver results to customers in a professional and timely manner
