Product Marketing Manager/Sr. Manager   (43894-5)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop marketing goals and strategy based on the Company’s business goals and strategy.
2. Design and implement plans to ensure the products’ success in the market:
• Conduct market and competitive analysis and territory research to understand target customers, their needs and concerns and how xxxx products can fill their needs and resolve issues
• Develop product marketing strategy for individual product lines, including positioning, pricing and focus of marketing efforts
• Translate product marketing strategy to project plans, including activities, contributors, priorities, due dates and milestones
• Assign Product Managers (Product Analysts) to implement the plans; conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss project status, issues and concerns, and coordinate team members and keep everyone on the same page

3. Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and provide sales tools, resources and product training that support the selling process.
4. Train the product marketing team members on products, markets, customers, competitors and suppliers, so that each member possesses sufficient knowledge of not only the products that they are responsible for, but also all of the products lines of xxxx.
5. Train and develop product marketing team members in business acumen, marketing approach, strategy development and execution to build a strong product marketing unit.
6. Maintain good relationship with suppliers, provide sales forecasts and market information, and negotiate on terms and conditions.
7. Manage conferences and laboratory events, and assigns participating product managers.
8. Explore and maintain relationship with key surgeons and other decision makers, understand their needs and generates leads.
9. Manage the Product Marketing Department, its budget, personnel and other resources.
10. Takes initiative in the project to move purchasing from history-based to forecast-based to pursue inventory optimization and cost control.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. College degree, preferably in science or marketing studies
2. Experience in the neurosurgical device industry is essential
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. 5+ years of experience of managing a product marketing team
