Bil E/J Associate Producer  (43530FH)

This position is responsible for tracking game development progress with the game development studio and preparing the title for launch on various media platforms.

Essential Job Functions

Primary Job Functions 80%

Manages Game Title Production (Start to Launch)
• Works closely with game developer producer/director
o Requests necessary information and documentation of the games in progress
o Gathers feedback from various users in the office and provides feedback on developer’s ideas and newly implemented features in test builds
o Creates suggestion-based feedback documents on how to improve in-game elements
o Tracks the game development and milestone schedule
• Works with game platform account manager
o Requests necessary information and documentation for releasing the game on that platform
o Provides necessary information about the game for the platform when requested
o Prepares submissions for First Party Evaluation
• Makes arrangements with PR/Marketing for promoting the game before, on, and after launch
o Provides game assets to promote the game (screenshots, art, video capture)
o Obtains clearance for use of assets for PR usage from the IP holders of the developed title
o Generates ideas on how to utilize available assets to promote the game via events/tradeshows
• Has a grasp on the game project’s contract and coordinates with finance (for making payments post-milestones, receiving payments post-launch from platforms).

Secondary Job Functions 10%

Localization
• Localizes documents between both Japanese and English to make sense and be appropriate to the audience the documents are being presented to
o Documents include (but are not limited to): game build notes, game proposals, presentations, business proposals, game build feedback, game design documents, internal and external feedback

Other & Miscellaneous
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties that are assigned by upper management.
• Travels on business or works beyond normal work hours when necessary.

Qualifications

Experience /Minimum Qualifications Needed

• Language Skills

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and/or government regulations in English and Japanese.

Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English and Japanese.

Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, clients, customers, and the general public in English and Japanese.

• Mathematical Skills

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volumes.

• Reasoning Abilities

Ability to apply common understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to analyze information and solve problems on a complex level in various situations.
• Other Required Skills

Must be tactful, mature, and flexible.

Must have the ability to review, assess, and understand technical documents, drawings, and other documents with no advance exposure and then engage in discussions internally and with vendors.

Must have the ability to analyze and utilize legal/financial documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.).

Must be able to use a computer and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Education and Experience

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 Between two to three years of experience in the same or similar position preferred.
