Temp Data Entry Clerk   (43512ND)

Term: 3-6 months

Candidates that possess good data entry accuracy (1-2 years experience), filing, copying and general office duties.
**Note: May require physical activities such as standing (copying and scanning) and light lifting.

Job Description:

• Prepare Customs clearances for clients.
• Verify import documents (commercial invoice, AWB’s, etc.).
• Perform data entry into AS400 clearance system.
• Assist department operation with photocopying, clerical filing, document organization and other basic assistance.
• Other assignments will be given by Supervisor or Manager based on needs of the department.

• Ensure 100% compliance with all regulatory and company procedures
• Continuous improvement in regulatory knowledge
• Support for meeting company, branch and department goals
• Ensure timely close out of files to billing team
• Ensure timely file storage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good data entry accuracy (Must have 1-2 years data entry experience required.)
• Strong Alpha/numeric data entry speed. (type a minimum of 40 wpm)
• AS400 user skills
• Computer proficiency (Windows, MS Word and Excel)
• Basic knowledge of CBP procedures
• Ability to prepare basic Customs entries
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Attention to detail
• Must be a team player
• Must have excellent (written/verbal) communication skills.
• Multi-tasking / Organizational skills
• May require some lifting 30-50 lbs
