Restaurant General Manager   (43439ND)

General Summary of Duties:
The General Manager is responsible to oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation as well as work as a project manager to identify.

Oversee and direct all areas of the full service restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service with store management team.

• Research potential new locations, regionally as well as nationally
• Prepare business plans and execute
• Prepare budget for build out
• Manage recruitment and hiring of staff
• Perform orientation and provide training to all new employees on restaurant processes
• Plan Grand Opening
• Help drive the Business Development initiatives and goals through innovation and creativity
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, sanitation, and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive and productive working environment.
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
• Develop, plan, and carry out restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns.

• Keeps Senior Management promptly and fully informed of all issues (ie. Problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary of suggests alternative courses of action.
• Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conductive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency / effectiveness.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities are required or requested.

Work Scope and Hours
Your schedule may vary depending on the needs of the company, and the need for you to fulfill the duties of your position. You will often exceed a forty-hour week. However, this position is an exempt position and as such he is not entitled to overtime pay.

Minimum 3 years of experience 5 years preferred, of management in the restaurant industry.
Previous experience in food and beverage management
In-depth working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
In-depth working knowledge of food preparation and presentation
Experience in staff management and development
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Experience in analyzing financial data
Knowledge of planning and forecasting
Track record of managing inventory and cost control
Knowledge of administrative procedures
Able to use relevant computer applications
