Research Analyst  (70438TH)

Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in automotive related market research and analysis, preferably in electronics.
Strong interest and knowledge of consumer electronics and automotive industry is desirable.
Will research and analyze current and future trends that will impact business in the automotive and electronics market.

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Research and prepare presentations on critical customer, and market trends.
2. Analyzes customer needs, perceptions, and behavior through a combination of proprietary and syndicated customer research studies.
3. Contributes to analysis of market environments and future trends; make recommendations based on findings.
4. Collects and analyzes data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
5. Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with other internal departments and professionals.
6. Monitor industry statics and follow trends in trade literature.
7. Analyzes current research and statistical techniques, and evaluates the latest research developments to develop new market research methods.
8. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data (surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires), or arrange to obtain existing data.
9. Tracks industry trends, relevant legislation, and competitor activities as it relates to consumer electronics and safety.
10. Identifies promising areas of research or technology that addresses unmet needs and have large potential markets.
11. Facilitates research methods, such as survey, opinion poll, or questionnaire, and designs means for collecting data for each project.
12. Work with 3rd party service providers as needed in conducting surveys and focus groups to analyze customer patterns, preferences, and factors affecting the organization's business effectiveness.
13. Researches market conditions and assists in conducting feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing and new products or services.
14. Prepares reports, including charts and graphs, and presents recommendations for action plans to management.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATH ABILITY:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as cost benefit analysis and create and manipulate spread sheets for project budgeting purposes.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Data analysis program skills are essential.
